Polo da Don and Ludacris Thanksgiving Carnival

Last week Atlanta’s own Polo da Don and Ludacris took the time along with some of their celebrity friends to provide a carnival, concert and food giveaway to those in need. Congrats to the fellas as they executed their plan flawlessly.

STILL STANDING, STILL STRONG. Greenbriar Mall, Atlanta’s oldest enclosed shopping center, was host to super-producer Polow da Don’s Annual Zone 4 Inc. & Foundation F.O.C.U.S. Thanksgiving Carnival, marking it the largest outdoor event that the shopping center has hosted in twelve years. Despite the early afternoon storms, the rain was no threat to the massive crowd, exceeding five-thousand, that showed up for the positive cause. Ludacris and Big Boi were event hosts to chart-topping performers Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Lloyd and surprise guests Bow Wow, Gucci Mane, Sean Garrett, and Waka Flocka Flame. Community and retail supporters included The Ludacris Foundation, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Councilman Kwanza Hall, DJ Greg Street of WVEE 103.3FM, Chick-fil-A and Foot Locker.

Deemed a COMMUNITY ICON by Greenbriar Mall management during the Greenbriar Mall 45th Anniversary Celebration for his significant contributions to the Southwest Atlanta Community, Polow da Don’s non-profit organization generously gave community dwellers 1,000 Turkeys, awarded one lucky family housing payments for one year, provided free carnival rides with cotton candy and popcorn, and capped off the evening with a nine-minute-long fireworks display.

“We are so glad that Greenbriar Mall has been able to serve in the SW Atlanta community for forty-five years, not only as a retail provider, but as a vessel for positivity in the community”, says Greenbriar Mall Marketing Director Gwendolyn Motley. “We are honored that Polow da Don and Foundation F.O.C.U.S. have chosen our mall as a platform to give back.”
