Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless hosted it’s seventh annual “Tools For School” Back to School Jamboree at Turner Field on July 21, 2012. The jamboree provided close to 3,500 students with school book bags, supplies, and clothing for the upcoming school year. “Tools For School” was an free event to all families and children. The jamboree hosted self-empowerment workshops and fun activities for children to participate in. Children were offered free dental, vision, and health screenings by Ameri Group Real Solutions in Healthcare. With the line wrapped around the parking lot, hundreds of people waited to be signed in at intake tables so that they could partake in the activities provided for the day. Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless had numerous sponsors for the event including Panda Express, whom provided food and Metro PCS which offered trinkets for participants.

There were performances by upcoming artists such as: Da Famous Boyzz performed their single “Private House Party” and Janisha, an aspiring Disney channel star, performed “21st Century Girl”. Jump-N-Play provided a huge bounce around inflatable for the children to play in. Along with giving away free school supplies, Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless also gave out hundreds of bagged groceries to participants in need of food for their families. “Tools For Schools” is the first event that the “4Hosea.org” social media campaign was utilized to promote and bring awareness to the event.
