Film & Digital Entertainment Month

Get Connected hosted its monthly mixer for the film and entertainment industry at The Foundry at the Puritan Mill on Thursday, May 31, 2012.

Get Connected is a local mixer in Atlanta, Ga for people in the entertainment and film industry to network and build a connection amongst each other in a relaxed way. Get Connected is held on the last Thursday of every month, in which every month the theme changes. According to the Get Connected website, the $10 admission charged for attendance is  used as grants for rising film makers and local charities.

“I wanted to start my own mixer to bring everybody together, as well as give back to the community with the money that we make,” said Autumn Bailey, founder of Get Connected. “I wanted to have a place for the industry to call home, to mingle, to come and feel comfortable with, and be able to help them find jobs, while at the same time giving to the community, in which each month we give to a different charity.”
